Profiling Google+ Users
To better understand how to market for Google+, it helps to know what the demographic is, as well as the profile of the typical user. This infographic gives some interesting statistics.
To encourage engagement, on Google+ follow the formula:
- Create a post title that is no more than 40 characters long and use asterisks at each end to make it bold.
- Summarize the post so the reader knows what to expect. Keep to 159 characters, 3 lines of text.
- Include a link to an image or video.
- Add some personal thoughts to create a connection with followers and encourage engagement.
- Three to five hashtags will improve discovery in Google+ and Google search.
- Stay on topic.
- Share business posts from personal pages.
- It is good to use third-party content.
- Track Metrics.
